I know in my last blog post, Shots at the Highstakes Part 1, I promised I would do a part 2 very soon; however my desire to blog is a very fickle thing and I figure let’s just roll with what my heart wants to write, tonight that happens to be the Irish Open and some PLO hands.

Well I’ve just come off my single biggest losing day in my poker history and I feel…. Ok.
I didn’t go into any details in that post so I’ll quickly recap the day along with an important poker lesson that I learned and hopefully you can learn too for far less money spent.
The game was 50/100 PLO with a weaker player in the game, there was a free seat 2 to the mark’s left and I sit down with $10,000, result! Unfortunately, here is where it all went to shit. Continue reading
Restaurant Trip Report: Dax
Well I’ve just come off my single biggest losing day in my poker history and I feel…. Ok. I said in the last blog I’d recap my LA trip and UKIPT Galway win but right now I feel like writing about current events. The next blog post will be poker I promise!
If you wanted to read about poker you’ll be disappointed but one of the other big passions in my life is food and last night I had one of the best if not the best meal of my life at Dax restaurant in Dublin. I was fortunate enough to be able to make a last minute reservation and along with 2 of my friends, David O Connor (@DeeOhCee) and Chuck Fabian (@chuckfabian), we took the LUAS up to Stephens Green and made the 5 minute walk to Dax.
